A LETTER FROM THE HEADTEACHER
Dear Parents and Carers
Just a brief letter to introduce myself and welcome you and your child back to school after what I hope has been an enjoyable summer break.
I am absolutely delighted to be writing to you as the new Head Teacher of Forefield Community Infant School. I am thoroughly looking forward to working closely with you, my outstanding staff team and governors, to build on the school’s many exceptional achievements to date. I hope to ensure that every child at Forefield continues to enjoy coming to school, motivated and inspired by the highest quality provision which meets every child’s individual, social, emotional and academic needs. I hope every child will leave our school equipped to fulfil his or her potential and ultimately to lead a happy, fulfilled life in the 21st century.
I feel very fortunate to have experienced that outstanding provision myself as an ex-pupil of both the Infant and Junior schools. In fact, it was on leaving the Infant school that I knew I wanted to teach myself – so inspired was I by my teachers at that time.
Having gone on to fulfil that ambition I spent seven years teaching at a primary school in Oldham, followed by a further fourteen years at Linacre Primary School in Bootle as a Class Teacher, Deputy Head Teacher and then for the last five years as Head Teacher.
So, I am absolutely thrilled to have, to coin a phrase, ‘come full circle’ and look forward to working with you to nurture your child’s dreams, ambitions and individual talents – whatever they may be.
Thank you for the very warm welcome that I have received.
As has always been the case at Forefield, if you have any concerns that you wish to discuss, please do not hesitate to call into school or to telephone me.
Yours sincerely
Mrs E. Haney
Head teacher
