January 2012  
  David Horner Visit
Year 2 were very fortunate to have a visit from the author David Horner. After spending a lesson with each Year 2 class, parents were invited into school to help celebrate the children’s fabulous work.
 
December 2011  
  FOFIS Logo
A special presentation was made to the winners of the new ‘Friends of Forefield Infant School’ (FOFIS) logo competition.
  Pantomime
On Tuesday 13th December the children were treated to a wonderful production of ‘Beauty and the Beast’. In true pantomime tradition the children were fully involved with the actors with choruses of ‘he’s behind you’ and ‘boos’ for the baddies.
  Year One Performance
Strange green creatures abounded in Year One’s production this year! Entitled ‘Christmas with the Aliens’ it told the story of how some children explained the Christmas Story to unfortunate aliens who had crash landed on our planet.
  Reception Performance
In the Reception classes we worked really hard to learn the words of some Christmas songs to tell all the grown-ups the Christmas story. We all dressed up and pretended to be different characters.
   
  Mr Trix

The children were all excited with the visit of the fantastic Mr Trix. The children were amazed with all his magic tricks, especially when a huge white rabbit suddenly appeared, and later disappeared!

  Welfare Assistants' Assembly
Children with 100% attendance since September were celebrated in a special assembly by Mrs Haney. Special ‘Bronze’ certificates were given to all children from Reception, Year One and Year Two for this fantastic achievement.
  Year Two Performance
This Christmas, Year 2 performed the story “It’s a Baby!” for all the Mum’s and Dad’s with an interesting twist at the beginning; a glimpse of the preparations for the finished performance, complete with a very young Mrs Haney, Mrs Pugh and Mr Robinson!
   
   
November 2011  
  School Choir
The Year 2 School Choir took part in the Diversity Concert held at the Crosby Civic Hall in November. The audience was captivated by their wonderful singing and the children were all very proud of their achievement.
  School Council Assembly
This year’s school council members introduced themselves to the rest of the school at a special assembly.
   
  Shoe Box Appeal
As part of the Shoe Box Appeal, our children brought in to school over 80 shoe boxes filled with goodies, for boys and girls a lot less fortunate than themselves.
October 2011  
  Harvest Festival
The children celebrated Harvest Festival with a special assembly. Each class performed for the school. There were poems, songs and dances. The children all enjoyed taking part.
