School Choir |

The Year 2 School Choir took part in the Diversity Concert held at the Crosby Civic Hall in November. The audience was captivated by their wonderful singing and the children were all very proud of their achievement. |

Shoe Box Appeal |
 |
As part of the Shoe Box Appeal, our children brought in to school over 80 shoe boxes filled with goodies, for boys and girls a lot less fortunate than themselves. |

Harvest Festival |
 |
The children celebrated Harvest Festival with a special assembly. Each class performed for the school. There were poems, songs and dances. The children all enjoyed taking part. |

Everton Football Coaches |

We were lucky enough to enjoy a visit from Everton Football Academy coaches. They shared their football skills with the children who all were keen to take part and thoroughly enjoyed this opportunity. |

Chinese Visitors |
 |
Visiting teachers from our partner school, Nanping Experimental Kindergarten in Chonqing, China have spent the last two weeks of term at Forefield, sharing a range of exciting experiences with us. |

Welfare |
 |
During our special end of year assembly many children were presented with a variety of different awards. Some children gained bronze or silver awards for their attendance in school; some even received a gold award, which means that they have not had a day off all year! |

Olympic Torch |
 |
In preparation for next year’s Olympic Games, many schools across Crosby took part in our own torch run. Children from Great Crosby passed the torch to two of our children who proudly ran past the whole school on the playground before running the short distance to the Junior school. |

June was a very busy month for a group of fantastic dancers. The girls from year 2 helped choreograph and then performed a marvelous dance celebrating the role of ‘The Land Army Girls’ from World War 2. |

Recorder Club Concert |
 |
Year 2 recorder club celebrated the culmination of their club with a musical day of concerts. Having shown the school what they had learnt, they then went to the playgroup at All Saints. |

Comenius Science Project |

June has been a very exciting time for our Comenius Project!
During the first week of June nine children and parents from Forefield travelled to Sanlucar. They attended the traditional Flamenco Fair, watched the ‘Rocio’ – a religious thanks giving parade and spent time with our Spanish friends in La Dehesilla school. |

Year One Football |

The Year One Football Team was victorious in the Everton FC Cross Partnership Final held at Goodison Park. Cheered on by children and staff from Forefield as well as family and friends, the team rose to the challenge to lift the trophy. |

Garden Party |

On Thursday 28th April the whole school celebrated The Royal Wedding in style! We welcomed families and friends to join our children for a picnic on school field. |

Kings and Queens Day |

On Tuesday 19th April the children arrived at school resplendent in their magnificent crowns and gowns. It was all part of our topic around the Royal Wedding. Great care and effort had been put into the outfits, and the children were justifiably proud of them. |
